Cast Iron & Architectural Salvage
Period Ironwork & Salvage Items
Every demolition project uncovers unique architectural items that deserve a second life. At Mooney Demolition, we carefully salvage cast iron, wrought iron and other architectural features that would otherwise be lost. Our 2-acre yard is home to an ever-changing collection of period pieces.
From ornate Victorian radiators and decorative fireplaces to sturdy gates and elegant railings, our stock appeals to restorers, interior designers, garden enthusiasts and anyone looking for something with genuine character and history.
What We Carry
Radiators
Reclaimed cast iron radiators are one of our most popular salvage items. Victorian and Edwardian column radiators, hospital-style radiators and decorative models with ornate patterns. Cast iron radiators heat beautifully and retain warmth long after the boiler switches off.
Our radiators come in various sizes and column configurations. Most can be restored, pressure-tested and connected to a modern central heating system. They are a stunning feature in any period property.
Fireplaces
Reclaimed fire surrounds, mantelpieces, grates and fireplace inserts. Cast iron, marble, slate and wooden surrounds from Victorian, Edwardian and Georgian properties. A reclaimed fireplace is often the centrepiece of a room restoration.
We stock a range of styles from simple cottage grates to elaborate Victorian surrounds with tiled inserts. Each piece is unique and carries the craftsmanship of its era.
Gates & Railings
Reclaimed wrought iron and cast iron gates, railings, balustrades and fencing. From simple garden gates to ornate driveway entrance gates, our stock includes a variety of styles and sizes.
Period ironwork adds instant character to a property entrance. Our gates can be restored, repainted and fitted to new posts. We also carry individual railing sections and finials.
Guttering & Downpipes
Reclaimed cast iron guttering, downpipes, hoppers and fixings. Cast iron rainwater goods are required on many listed buildings and are far more durable than modern plastic alternatives. We stock half-round, ogee and box-profile guttering in various sizes.
